**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Linux Engineer** to join our team onsite in **Norfolk, Virginia** . This is an onsite position. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Provide Tier 3 technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. + Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems. + Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on maintaining a secure IT environment. + Familiarity with Active Directory in Windows environments. + Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes. + Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively. + Strong understanding of Linux operating systems especially Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9. + Strong understanding of Linux filesystems and LVM. + Understanding of operation and updating of Red Hat Satellite. + Ability to work with DNS and DHCP and Windows/Linux environments. + Understanding of Red Hat patching methods. + Familiarity with backup systems a plus. + Understanding of Linux networking. + Familiarity with VMWare ESXi and able to work with virtual Linux systems. + Up to 25% travel can be expected. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience. + Experience in system administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments. + Must have CompTIA Security+ CE. + Must have a VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. **Clearance Requirements:** + US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. + The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. MANTECH International Corporation considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to disability or veteran status or any other status protected under any federal, state, or local law or regulation.
