Description About the Role: We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for end users across the organization. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues, while delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism. The Desktop Support Engineer will work closely with IT leadership, systems teams, and business users, ensuring users are equipped with the right tools to be productive and secure. Key Responsibilities + Provide Level 1-2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network connectivity issues. + Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows/Mac workstations and related hardware. + Install and support software, applications, and system updates. + Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365, VPN access, and Active Directory. + Assist users with password resets, account provisioning, and permissions management. + Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation. + Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or vendors when appropriate. + Ensure timely response to support tickets with a customer-first approach. Requirements Required Qualifications + 2-5+ years hands-on experience in desktop or technical support. + Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Mac OS experience a plus). + Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and basic networking concepts. + Experience with imaging, workstation deployment, and device management tools (SCCM, Intune, Jamf, etc. - adjust based on your stack). + Excellent communication and customer service skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills + CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications. + Experience supporting remote users and VPN connectivity. + Exposure to ITIL / ticketing workflows (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, etc.). + Basic understanding of endpoint security tools and MFA systems.
