  • Travel to various project sites and work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.

Skills and Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Botany, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related Natural Resource field.
  • 2–5+ years of relevant experience in wetland delineations, permitting, and restoration.
  • Strong understanding of wetland ecology, native Wisconsin/Midwestern plant and animal species, and hydric soil identification.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple active projects.
  • Familiarity with GPS equipment, GIS software, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willingness to work extended hours in the field as needed and travel occasionally for project work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with restoration site implementation (e.g., mowing, planting, brush-cutting, prescribed burns).
  • Positive attitude and strong client-relations skills.

This position offers competitive compensation and benefits, with excellent opportunities for continued professional growth. Join NES Ecological Services and be part of a team dedicated to conserving and restoring Wisconsin’s valuable natural resources. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
