Job Title: Surgery Scheduler

Job Overview:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate with experience scheduling ophthalmology surgeries. This position requires excellent communication skills, as it involves interacting with patients, surgeons, and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with surgery centers to schedule surgical procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to confirm surgery details, including pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-ups.
- Maintain an updated and accurate scheduling system, addressing any changes or conflicts promptly.
- Assist in obtaining and verifying patient insurance information and authorizations prior to procedures.
- Provide compassionate and clear information to patients regarding their surgical experience, addressing any questions or concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in ophthalmology scheduling or administrative roles within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and scheduling software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
