Part-Time Weekend Nanny / Family Assitant Location: Point Loma, San Diego Commitment: 1–2+ years preferred

Every Sunday, 6:00 am – 12:00 pm
About the Role: We are seeking a dependable and nurturing babysitter to join our family as a consistent Sunday morning caregiver for our two children, ages 4 and 6. Reliability and punctuality are essential, as the role begins at 6:00 am sharp every Sunday .
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, has experience with young children, and is comfortable balancing warmth with firm boundaries. We welcome candidates with teaching experience or a background in education, as this role involves maintaining routines and reinforcing structure in a positive way.
Responsibilities:
Arrive on time and greet children once they wake up.
Prepare and serve breakfast.
Engage children in play in the playroom.
Guide and keep the kids on schedule for their 10:00 am “ninja class” at a local gym.
Support them with reminders and time awareness (children dress themselves).
Drive them to/from class (family car provided; candidate will be added to insurance).
Stay during class with their private instructor.
Return home, provide a snack, and help the children transition into quiet time in their separate rooms by 12:00 pm .
Maintain the household’s routine of clear boundaries (“yes means yes, no means no”).
Family Culture: Our children are independent because of the structure and consistency we maintain in our home. We value caregivers who can be kind yet firm , ensuring rules are respected while keeping interactions fun, warm, and engaging.
Training & Support:
Parents will shadow for the first few Sundays to help the sitter get comfortable with our home, the children, and the routine before stepping back.
Ongoing communication and support provided.
Ideal Candidate:
Reliable and punctual (must be comfortable with early morning starts).
Experienced working with children ages 4–6.
Confident in setting and maintaining boundaries.
Safe driver with a clean record.
Background in teaching, education, or structured childcare strongly preferred.
Compensation:
$32-$35 DOE
Use of family car for all driving responsibilities.
