CKC Custom Homes + Haus of Powell
San Antonio, TX | Full-Time | In-Office & On site
For over 20 years, CKC Custom Homes has set the standard for luxury homebuilding across the Texas Hill Country. Every project reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, detail, and timeless design. Partnered with our in-house design studio, Haus of Powell, we bring each client’s vision to life through an elevated and seamless process — from concept and construction to final styling.
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our team — a confident leader with the ability to manage high-end design projects, mentor others, and uphold the integrity of our brand.
The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of design development and execution for luxury custom homes. This position requires someone who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of design — reviewing quotes with precision, managing timelines, and leading presentations with confidence.
You’ll collaborate closely with company leadership, construction, and operations teams to ensure every project meets the standards and style CKC Custom Homes and Haus of Powell are known for.
Lead the full design process for multiple residential projects from concept to completion.
Conduct client meetings and site visits with confidence and professionalism.
Review vendor quotes, bids, and amendments for accuracy and alignment with scope and design intent.
Oversee CAD drawings, elevations, and detailed design documentation.
Partner with construction to ensure flawless field execution and adherence to design vision.
Guide and mentor junior designers to maintain consistency and brand standards.
Manage all selections including cabinetry, tile, lighting, plumbing, and finishes.
Coordinate with the Haus of Powell team on showroom displays, marketing visuals, and photoshoots.
Communicate proactively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
3–5+ years of experience in luxury residential or custom home design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and presentation software (Canva or Adobe Suite).
Strong understanding of cabinetry, tile, lighting, and construction documentation.
Proven ability to review and interpret quotes, bids, and proposals with accuracy.
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
High-level professionalism and a refined design sensibility aligned with the CKC + Haus of Powell aesthetic.
CKC Custom Homes and Haus of Powell are built on collaboration, integrity, and design excellence. You’ll be part of a talented, fast-paced team that values craftsmanship and communication as much as creativity.
If you’re a detail-oriented leader who can balance creativity with accountability — and you naturally align with our brand’s refined, timeless style — we want to meet you.
