Headquartered in Cordova, TN, Stratas Foods is a 50/50 joint venture formed in October 2008 between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland Company. Job Description

This position is an entry level position on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized forklift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

1. Keep lines stocked with packaging materials

2. Operate forklift following all safety requirements

3. Operate production lines through breaks and lunches

4. Run production line when Operator is not available

5. Fill out appropriate paper work while covering for Line Operator

6. Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment

7. Knowledge of basic operation for equipment on line

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED & VERIFIED

Related Experience : Previous relevant experience preferred, but not required.

Equipment/Software Skills : Basic computer knowledge - data entry

1. Be active and participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams
2. Learn and follow written rules and procedures
3. Produce accurate documentation
4. Maintain acceptable attendance
5. Must be willing and able to learn various positions
6. Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies

Salary Range: $41,600 - $49,212 / Annually 

Physical:  Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights.

Successful Candidates:  comfortable operating forklift in warehouse and production environments, task assignment flexibility, possess basic computer/technology skills, willingness to learn or knowledge of food safety in manufacturing environment, willingness to learn to operate specialized tools, devices, and equipment, able to work weekends and overtime when required.
