About the Role We are hiring on behalf of a leading provider in the insurance and financial services sector. As an HR Assistant, you will support the Corporate Benefits team within the Human Resources department, contributing to the smooth operation of employee benefits and administrative processes.
Job Description In this role, you will provide a variety of administrative and clerical support functions to the HR department, with a focus on Corporate Benefits. You will be responsible for managing documentation, processing forms, and assisting with employee inquiries related to benefits and pensions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in growing their career in HR within a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Process and manage invoices related to HR and benefits operations
- Organize, scan, and archive incoming mail and documentation
- Review and process employee election forms for accuracy
- Communicate with employees and former employees to resolve discrepancies
- Assist in setting up pension payments and maintaining related data
- Support periodic data maintenance and basic pension benefit calculations
- Contribute to other HR projects and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a corporate or HR setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working with HRIS or benefits administration systems
- Familiarity with pension or retirement plan processes
