Garde Manger Specialist - Nibblers M Culinary Concepts, a 2023 TOP COMPANIES TO WORK FOR and GREAT PLACES TO WORK winner is searching for the next fun and enthusiastic Garde Manger Specialist at our Nibblers location who is ready for a challenge working with the premier off-premises caterer in the southwest. Nibblers, an M Culinary Concept, is searching for a passionate Garde Manger Specialist to join our vibrant team and help us create incredible catering experiences across the Southwest. About the Role: The Garde Manger Specialist is responsible for the preparation, assembly, and presentation of all cold foods, including salads, dressings, charcuterie, cold entrées, and buffet displays and more. This role ensures high-quality standards in taste, appearance, and sanitation while supporting efficient kitchen operations. The Gard Manger Specialist works closely with culinary leadership to execute menu items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines, uphold food safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment.

  • Prepare, assemble, and plate all cold menu items including salads, composed dishes, platters, and hors d'oeuvres.
  • Ensure all items meet established quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Assist with designing and setting up visually appealing buffet and display pieces.
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and specific plating instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
  • Properly store, rotate, and label all products according to food safety standards and company procedures.
  • Follow all health department guidelines and Nibblers food safety policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Sous Chef and team members to ensure timely production and smooth service flow.
  • Communicate shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues immediately to Executive Chef/GM.
  • Support other culinary areas as needed during high-volume service periods or special events.
  • Assist with receiving and storing product deliveries as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cold kitchen items, notifying leadership of needs.
  • Help maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Participate in pre-event prep, event execution, and post-event breakdown as required.

  • A positive attitude, reliability, detail-oriented and strong customer service skills.
  • Time management and communication skills.
  • 1-2 years of culinary experience, preferably in a garde manger or cold kitchen role.
  • Strong knife skills and experience with precise cutting, garnishing, and plating.
  • Knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and execute detailed presentation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
