Location: East Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5/40)

Assignment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour

Work Environment: Onsite, no hybrid or remote

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Inspector to support a public-sector infrastructure and Building & Safety program. This role is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and verifying documentation for accuracy, compliance, and completeness prior to submission. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with document control, plan check support, or quality documentation in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Review project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Maintain document logs, tracking systems, and version histories.
• Verify submittals meet quality and procedural standards before release.
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, permit technicians, and internal teams.
• Support audits, plan checks, and close-out documentation.
• Scan, file, distribute, and manage controlled documents.
• Ensure all documentation follows established procedures and timelines.

Required Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience in document control, records management, QA documentation, or plan check support.
• Strong attention to detail and document accuracy.
• Experience working with regulated or compliance-driven documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to track, organize, and maintain controlled documents.
• Strong communication and follow-through skills.
• Must be able and willing to work onsite in East Los Angeles.

Preferred Experience: 

• Public sector, Building & Safety, or engineering documentation experience.
• Plan check, QA, or inspection support background.
• Experience working with document tracking systems or QA software.
